re: I think you all might be off base a little and so could I. Chris Ash

Arkansas fans are obviously biased here. Listening to them talk about Ash is like listening to LSU fans talk about Landon Collins; a lot of butthurt. By knocking Ash they are also knocking Bielema's judgment as a HC because Bielema hired him at Wisconsin and thought enough of him to bring him to Arkansas. And they seem to like Bielema.
I have no strong feelings one way or the other regarding Ash. However, I have enough sense to know that to judge his ability based solely on his one year working with a very bad Arkansas team would be silly. He has had considerable success with Ohio State and Wisconsin.

You think we're butthurt regarding Ash?
OK...

You LSU fans saw Anthony Jennings of all people win the game against his defense in 2013. A blown coverage and not blitzing a freshman QB.
His defense played way too soft. Ole miss in one drive ran the same short sideline route 3 straight times and it worked each time because we were playing 10 yards off

Forget it. We don't know what we're talking about.

Thanks. And Luke Fickell was fortunate to be Co-DC with Ash this past year. Ash would be a great hire.

He's effing terrible, no coincidence our defense got awesome when he left.

Butthurt? About Chris Ash? You realize we were happy when he left and are even happier now that we have a competent DC? We are hoping that a team in our division hires him. That should tell you all that you need to know.

Just get a warm body to LSU. We have 5 stars everywhere in our secondary and a he'll of a mlb. Great talent at dl
Be a decent coach and recruiter and LSU will make you great

A lost of Tenn. folks told us that about Chief too...

Ash together with Les Miles? Wow. Just wouldn't even be fair.

2007 is why I could care less of what happened at Arkansas one year. You guys beat us in the last game of regular season and we still played for and won the National Championship.

Why Chris Ash No Longer Works At Arkansas
This is just brilliant. 3rd and 9 and only 7 Hogs are in the picture. All 11 Ole Miss players are visible.
Spoiler alert: Ole Miss got the first down.
Seriously - two down 5 techniques and a rushing LB up the middle (with gaps two yards wide between them) and the entire back 8 playing at least 7 yards off the LOS.

There are two DC's at Ohio State. The good one and Ash... Obviously, Meyer is going to go here on with the "good one"... And now, the other one, Ash, comes to LSU... Orgeron would have been great. The name of the game is recruiting.

What that gif doesn't show is that our dbs would actually start backpedaling just before the snap and not only be further away, but have their momentum moving backwards.
