I think we can all agree that Bill O’Brien is the absolute worst case scenario hire

We may disagree about every under the sun, but everyone here knows that Bill O’Brien ain’t shite. His biggest success is an 8-5 season at Penn State. Out of all the names being floated around he is the absolute worst we can land on.

Nobody believes LSU would seriously consider that.

Well damn it if y’all would stop starting a thread about him every 2 minutes, it would die out as fast as his name came up this morning.

One of the few things this entire forum can rally around.

Gruss just came out and said it isn't happening. Lots of names will pop up over the next week that are not happening.

I think it’s the first time everyone on this board agrees on something. BOB sucks

Exactly, news flash, we aren’t hiring Stoops, BOB, I would even venture to say Campbell. Just not happening. You don’t go from offering 12+ million a year to someone to that list I just gave. And I know some of y’all love Campbell, but I just think he’s swinging a little harder than a Campbell hire honestly. You can say well what if he swings and misses, but when you are throwing around that kind of money, a much bigger name than Campbell will finally take the bait

For a school that has hired Les Miles and Ed Orgeron in its last two hires... I think we can almost certainly do worse than BOB.

Miles had a good run at ok state and Ed O was an Alleva hire. Don’t equate the three

I’d take Bill O over Bill N. In a heartbeat. He performed a miracle at Penn State.

A million years ago with a desperate fanbase.

BoB is a world class a-hole and will rub everyone the wrong way. Boosters, admin, recruits, players, etc.

His terrible time as Texans GM may not completely dismiss his talent evaluations, but they're certainly questionable until proven otherwise.

Bamna's offense doesn't seem to be nearly as good/explosive this year, either.

I hate the term smokescreen, but this feels like the definition of one.

You can dislike the guy because you think he is an a hole and what he did as GM which he never should have been, But you can not discredit what he has done as a Coach.

Penn State was going to lose every recruit and every star they had. He maintained most of the recruits and almost all his star players. Kept the fan base in tact and won games.
