I agree. However, I think if we have “had our guy” for weeks, it is him. I also recognize he is a pretty good coach and we could do much worse

Do you think Saban or Meyer or Bobby Knight or most of the highly successful coaches are or were really likable? Coaching is not a popularity contest.
Nick was what, two or three years younger than Kelly is when he took over at Bama.
On paper, and that’s all we have right now since he hasn’t even held his first LSU practice, this is a home run hire whether you personally like it or not. imo

Unfortunately, most great football coaches have been prickly a-holes. Belichick, Parcells, Tom Landry, Chuck Noll, Lombardi. I'm not a big fan of B. Kelly personally, but willing to give the benefit of the doubt and see how it goes.
