We had a total of 18 season ending injuries on the team in '08, including starters, left tackles Trinton Sturdivant and Vince Vance, defensive tackle Jeff Owens, middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, tight end Tripp Chandler right tackle Justin Anderson. These starters missed a total of 49 games...
Add in players on the 2 deep, wide receiver Tony Wilson, linebackers Darius Dewberry, Akeem Hebron, Marcus Washington and Charles White and safety Quintin Banks who missed 40 games...
The other six were just ST players...

I called their record before that season, btw.
I was already well aware of Mark Richt's uncanny gift for parlaying a roster full of NFL talent into a 3 loss season
I guess you also called season ending injuries to starters that cost UGA 50 starts & 2deep players missing another 40 games...
What a frickin' idiot...

Yup... We've only had 3 10+ win seasons & 2 SECE Championships with a chance to win the SEC & the BCSMNC in the same time frame...
CMR does a lot to piss me off, but I'll defend him against this kind of idiocy...

So you called that there would be one post by one guy on a message board. Congrats

That clock mismanagement at the end of the Bama game is only rivaled by Les Miles and his idiocy. Georgia should have won that game.

I don't know about that but I sure as hell wish it didn't end like that. How many things went wrong on that play for UGA. We don't spike, ball gets tipped, wr catches it instead of knocking it down.

Tennessee's record has zero bearing on whether Mark Richt has underachieved. Zero. The dynamite did not go Boom.

At first I thought it was blatant clock mismanagement, but now I don't think it was. Richt had told them beforehand to keep calling plays (i.e. not spike the ball). The idea was to try to score while Bama's defense was reeling. It almost worked.

Except it really wasn't clock mismanagement. They would have had two plays regardless. Murray was trying to keep Bama's defense on its toes and the pass happened to get deflected.
