Something tells me RP would've even make Spring training with Saban at the helm...

RP wouldn't have ever committed to LSU if Saban was at the helm.

I don't think he would have been given the oportunity to commit. Saban has a 6th sense abuot character I think. Look at the SR.s on y'alls team. character, all of them.

LSU can afford who ever they want. Saban is not my first choice but they can afford him.

Athletic facilities construction:
Softball Complex
Baseball Complex
South End Zone Renovation, Upper Deck, Suites

Football pays for all of that. You think we can't afford a top coach, wrong. We can't afford not to have a top coach. I don't care if its 10 mil. That's a drop in the bucket.

Ticket sales to each game alone, before suite licenses, parking fees, concessions, memorbelia sales, program sales, surcharges, TAF donations, TV revenues, and bowl revenues are approximately $4.2 million!

8 home games = about $34 million, again before all that other stuff.

The coaches salary although significant would not be a obstacle until it exceed 10 million. So we essentially have an unlimited budget.

PS: reduce that 4.2 mil by 100,000 for Bertman's per game skim.

RP has already had a redshirt so unless he goes D-1AA he is looking at sitting a year to play a year if he transfers.

Actually, I think that I recall Saban saying that RP had changed his commitment to Saban before Saban left.

RP and his parents both very much disliked Saban and he would not have come to LSU if he was the coach. I heard RP's high school coach state this fact on the radio recently.

It must be because of all that character Saban has. Actually, RP turned down an offer that Nick Saban made to him when he committed to Texas.

I'll bet Chase Daniel would laugh his arse off.

Lets review:

1) Daniel grows up in Texas and wants to be a Longhorn.
2) Texas gets committments from McCoy and Perriloux.
3) Daniel committs to Mizzou because Texas does not have room for him.
4) RP screws Texas.
5) Texas approaches Daniel, but he honors his word to Mizzou.
6) RP gets stuck not playing at LSU with possibly the coach he didn't want to play for.
7) Daniel is a Heisman candidate still in the hunt for a NC.
8) Texas Sucks donkey balls right now.

Well that explains how at least 10 players from our "#1 recruiting class" never even made it to their Junior year. The 6th sense that tells him screw Offensive Linemen we need another Defensive end to go along with the other 15 he has locked up.
