How will A&m fans react when their team is very talented but still poorly coached and loses 3-4 games every year?

He has an uphill battle. It’s going to take him time to recruit the proper athletes for his offensive system, and if he can’t recruit a lot of the elite “big uglies” on both the lines it’s going to get ugly.

But Alleva should still be fired.

LSU fans will say how he is overrated and will never get them over the top. Basically the same thing A&M fans said last year when they thought he was coming to LSU

Its weak that you're jealous of a team that doesn't belong in the SEC getting a coach that has a losing season in the ACC. Without a phenom qb he's trash, he's shown character issues and lack of control with problem players.

My post history from 2015 and 2016 will show you I was never a jimbo fan. Not all of us were on his dick.

How is it possible to be one year late twice

Well, Alleva pulled it off with great skill, so it can be done

Never wanted jimbo. Wasn’t sure of the about orgeron hire

Jimbo is still a million times a better HC than Orgeron, even with this past season. O lost more games in his 3 years at OM than Jimbo had in his first 7 years at FSU.

I really don't care. He's not Saban or Meyer. LSU will handle A&M as usual.

I'll be salty. LSU was one year late :(

We weren't a year late. It's clear Jimbo was willing to at least listen.

Such a maneuver would simply require a competent AD that puts the university and athletic program first ahead of his own self pride.

Unfortunately for us, Joe is a cheap, petty child that would rather protect his own ego than do what's necessary for the university and fans.

We lucked out. I promise you we'd see losing seasons under him within 5 years tops.

I don't put much stock in last year. 2015 was the year and Alleva started the frick up by leaking the Miles stuff. Had he gone about his business quietly like UGA did with Richt, things could be different.

But the guy literally sucks dead whale cocks for a living at his job and in general, got strong armed by his president and higher ups, and by the time 2016 came there was no wat he could seriously try and lure Jimbo after the calamitous 2015 attempt. Joe Alleva has no ballsack and is a fricking cancer.

Really indifferent. I wanted Herman badly last year and felt that if he wasn't an option the search should have bypassed Fisher and looked all over for another young up and coming prospect like a Taggart, Fleck, etc. Fisher just seems like a safe above average hire not a shot for the top. LSU could have kept Miles if we wanted 8-4 or 9-3 seasons in perpetuity.

So we hired O for continuity

It feels like 9-3 (w a loss to Troy) is O's ceiling. I smell 8-4 next year at best. Then you lose White, Lawrence, Williams, on D going into 2019. Ugh.

Pretty sure I am on record as being adamantly against the O hire since day one. My comments in regards to Fisher have no bearing on how terrible the decision to hire Orgeron was. Hell if O could go 9-3 this year imagine what a higher end coach could have accomplished.
