re: How people want Napier over Kiffin?

Kiffin is an excellent coordinator, highly questionable HC. At least for an elite program. Ole Miss is a perfect fit for him.
Kiffin will inevitably be an elite head football coach somewhere, and if Woodward makes the stupid mistake of permitting Kiffin to remain at Ole Miss, it won't be long at all before Kiffin and Ole Miss will not only be beating LSU on the recruiting trail but also on the football field every year.

Just did it again.
He is playing against Malik Willis, who is playing like shite, and Liberty is right in this game.
Obviously, when God handed out the brains, you unfortunately got the short end of the stick.

Head coaches are expected to hire efficient/effective coordinators, it's part of their job as head coach, half the reason O is such shite is because he can't hire coordinators to save his life.
Like I said, Kiffin inherited the team he inherited. As coaching wasn't the problem last season. Nonetheless, with one full year of recruiting and another year of excellent coaching, the progress the defense has made from year one to year two is nothing short of amazing.

All the Eaux Cajuns, are now suddenly fans of the Cajuns coach. Its not really that hard of a concept
Because Napier will be a yes man

It matters when you try it as much as he does. He puts his team in bad situations too often
You're actually arguing against a 73.5 percent success rate.
I've seen it all.

You're not thinking about the fact that the stat includes conversion attempts vs shitty teams. How many did he convert vs Alabama? He coached himself right out of that game early in the game. Like I said, the goal of a new coach at LSU is to win conference and national championships. That success rate will go way down vs the kind of teams that he'll have to beat to win championships. It's not a good model for success vs championship level teams. Your small mind just can't grasp that fact.

What are you insinuating about Cajun ‘s
Posted on 11/6/21 at 3:11 pm to lsutiger2
Well, aside from the fact he’s never won shite, and he was far from decent at any stop other than FAU you’d be correct.

Only complete idiots want Lane.
He’s a slightly better version of Ed. Probably end up being worse over the long haul from a PR standpoint
We’ve had 2 cartoon characters in a row. We don’t need a third. We need a serious coach who’s focused on football and nothing else. Lane isn’t that guy.

You're a moron. Kiffin is not Ed O. He is the best offensive mind in college football
No question that Lane is a great offensive coach. Not a good head coach. Like I said a slightly better Ed Orgeron.

Kiffin, while a great play caller, hasn't shown that he can actually run a program. Napier is a good playcaller, and has shown he actually has a system.

Kiffin's defense with far less talent than LSU's defense sure in the hell stopped LSU's offense
LSUs offense sucks. This isn’t much of an accomplishment

Uhm, Ole Miss and Kiffin are 25 out of 34 on 4th down conversions so far this year. That's a 73.5% success rate
You keep spouting the is like it means something. The ones he’s missed on have put his team in terrible situations.
He basically gave Bama the game in the first quarter with his idiotic play calling.
Posted on 11/6/21 at 3:46 pm to lsutiger2
I don’t want either of them. Kiffin for obvious reasons and Napier because I think he’ll face plant at a major program with actual pressure to succeed.

Why? Give a legit reason and back it up.
Coaching decisions in games
Hasn't "stuck" anywhere he's been

Off tbe field antics occasionally that we don't need

Absolutely. Kiffin was 2/5 on 4th down vs Bama this year and the ones that he missed on set up Bama with a short field.

I like to use the person and personality as the gauge. We know for certain that Lane Kiffin should stay away from the media. Napier pretty much does. Also, it’s a fair argument that Napier’s in game adjustments are probably better than Kiffin’s. They are usually pretty good early but in tough games, by the second half his teams usually have it figured out on both sides of the ball.
