Looks good on paper doesn't it. Too bad we cant be paper champions with all the talent he recruits. Yes he won 1 NC with Nicks left overs and since has finished 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd in the west every year since despite winning 10 games a year with a loaded team full of athletes. I'm sorry 10 wins doesn't sound very good anymore.

You know, I really hoped with my initial post, that it would make the topic look ridiculous enough so that no one would respond. But there are just too many rantards on here now.
eta: I even defended my post, for some reason IDK why, because I lost track of what I was doing due to all the rantards.
I
myself.

No way....much closer to 8-4 than 12-0

Much closer to 10-2 IMO

So why would you post something ridiculous? That makes you a ranter.

hadn't screwed up that Tenn. ending?
How much would Tressel be worth today if Arkansas had scooped and scored? Or if D.J. could catch? Or if Mallett hadn't thrown that pick?
If you aunt had balls she'd be your uncle...
But seriously, Miles has worth because Miles is 61-17 at LSU and has the same winning pct as Nick Saban has had at LSU/Bama combined. As much as people laugh at Miles, the dude has been a pretty consistent winner in the toughest conference in America.

UNC gets the PI on that last play Dooley doesnt send 13 men on the field. Devine plays for WVU McElroy doesnt fumble Demps plays for Florida
I'm not a Miles fan but this is the dumbest thing I have read today. So Miles should be knocked because of what happens at other schools? Who plays on other teams? And McElroy fumbling was the direct result of our defensive line manhandling one of the best offensive lines in the country! Come on man.

To be honest my reply was based on thinking you had started the topic. I was wrong.

Let's address the "Nick's left overs" issue shall we? That entire used up mantra is old and undefensible.
What percentage of the team was made up of of "Nick's leftovers" when Miles won the NC?
How long does a departed coach have influence over the players he recruited?
Does the incoming coaching staff have no influence?
As the numbers of players of the departed coach leave, how is his strong is his influence on the ones that remained? Or on the ones he never recruited or coached?
Is just recruiting a player enough to provide lasting influence, or does a coach have to actually interract with the players to have an impact?
Is it your position that only those who were recruited by Nick played any significant part in the NC?
Is it your position that none of Miles' recruits played any part in the NC?
Please cite data to prove your point.
You laid it out there. Now defend it or admit that you are merely parroting things and haven't given them any real independent thought.

loaded team full of athletes.
Is it your position that the opponents don't have athletes?
We wait breathlessly for your verifyable analysis.

Saban at LSU coached against a much easier SECW than Miles has had to coach against. Ole Miss had Cutcliffe/Ogeron, MSU had Jackie Sherrill/Croom, Bama had Shula, Auburn had Tuberville.
Saban finished 4th in the SECW this year, but I don't hear the rantards at Bama.
