Why would we be pissed? Im a huge fan of both schools and myself along with every other Cajun fan know we are on borrowed time with Napier. Im very surprised he's actually still in Lafayette. When he leaves it may as well be to LSU a school I root for. The majority of Cajun fans like LSU, don't let the small vocal group of LSU haters make you believe everyone is like that. Same can be said about the small group of LSU fans that hate everything ULL.

Their penis envy is annoying, but it would be incredibly dumb to make this decision based on tweaking a directional school.

That is a VERY small fraction of people in Lafayette. They love the Cajuns there but the vast majority are also LSU fans too. Only a very few hold some sort of grudge against LSU because they think they’re somehow being held back by powerful LSU alum.
The weird UL bashing by some Tiger fans only intensifies the paranoia for them.

I have been noticing that more LSU fans don’t want him because he’s at UL rather than UL fans not wanting LSU to have him.
He’s a damn fine coach and he will succeed wherever he goes. I truly believe he really wants this job.

They live and breath to hate LSU. According to some of them, every problem they have over there is caused by LSU. They even inflate their enrollment numbers by adding "leisure learning" (how to cook a seafood gumbo and nude painting) folks as enrolled students, which is a joke.
