What? Les would've 100% lost those by much more. We played BAMA better than anyone else this year because they were on point for our game

Coach O was stuck with Miles Dumbo playbook. Miles did not even implement the forward pass. Coach O broke several LSU records with Dumbos 1957 offense.

He will modernize our offense as promised.

You fell asleep during the only close games we've played under coach O?

Lower salary, lower buyout, and his willingness to change the offense.

Same recruiting but open to be more progressive on offense.

both have their plus's and minus's. but the #1 reason Orgeron is better is that HE IS CAPABLE OF LEARNING.

Les Miles quit learning, refused to fire his friend and OC cam Cameron, allowed a coaching staff to become unhappy due to his favoritism to a failed OC, and absolutely refused to change anything about his offense; the one that was one of the worst in the SEC.

Orgeron took a TE coach that has not called plays in decades and gave him the reins of the offense. the upgrade was immediate. our offense become functional again; not the best in the conference and it needs some work but it was night and day. Les Miles also did not make any moves to develop his QB's. coach O is a lot more open minded and will let his coaches coach and is promising to hire an OC that can develop QB's.

both coaches prefer the pro-style with spread elements and both coaches like to run the football and both coaches are excellent recruiters.

bottom line is that there are lots of differences in the two. miles had changed and really got stale.

Agreed. Ban anyone who mentions CLM.

Not a fan of the hire, but holy shite you must not know anything about football results speak for themselves. o has done much, much, much better with same talent and less prep time.

what dumb arse wants Miles. 1 of the worst mistakes Bertman ever made.

Lsu missed out on 2 National Championships, and thats being generous.

You had 11 years to see what Miles brought to LSU and yet you still have to ask that question. Miles wasn't willing to accept that HIS WAY wasn't working.

Coach O is an elite recruiter.
Coach O assembled a staff (mid-season) which measurably improved our offensive production. Same players...much better results. He couldn't completely change the offense so why hold him responsible for UF & Bama?
The team recovered from the Bama loss which we haven't seen under Miles over the previous 5 years.
Miles reached his ceiling back in 2011 with one of LSU's most talented rosters EVER.

Comparing Miles to O is stupid. Coach O will have an opportunity to continue to improve our offense because LSU will pay whatever we have to. I was never convinced that Fisher was a better choice than O because he didn't prove it on the field. Herman may have been a better choice but he lost several games that he should have won. Could Herman consistently out-recruit Coach O? He'd have to prove that before I'd believe it. Whether anyone wants to accept it or not, either of Herman or Fisher was a risk and the only "sure thing" isn't coming back to LSU.
