We are about to find out how good Dabo really is as a CEO coach. AD, DC, and OC all gone. That is a lot to lose in 1 offseason. This board peaked with some Dabo interest a few weeks back...we will see if they were right.

When Ed lost his OC and DC what happened next was exactly what will happen to Dabo. Especially after having a year like he had this year.

And Oklahoma turned him down, obviously.

The offensive coordinator leaving might actually help him.

My guess is he's going to promote from within and that'll either cement him as one of the best, or he's going to look like a hillbilly O.

The difference between Dabo and Onis that Dabo kept coordinators for years and years

I think Dabo can actually make good hires, that was O’s downfall - with guys like Bo Penilli or all the geriatrics he hired.

That program could be in trouble. Should Dabo decide now is the time to get out and go someplace else, they will be without an AD, HC, and both coordinators at the same time. It’s hard to imagine the chaos that would ensue in that situation.

Dabo was in Vegas with CJ Spiller to be inducted in the CF Hall of Fame. Also the Raiders have four Clemson players and Hunter Renfrow is his son’s best friend.

You can listen to the first five minutes of Venables press conference and see what he thinks of Dabo Swinney. Like him or not, he built Clemson program on his own to where it is today. Can he sustain it? Maybe so, maybe not. Only time will tell. But regardless of what happens going forward, he was the head coach of a team that played in 4 national championship games in 6 years. That’s quite an accomplishment.

Something is going on at Clemson. It would surprise me if Dabo were to stick around.

He was good with Watson and lawrence, hasn't done a whole lot without them. Speaks for itself.

He’s a cleaner version of Orgeron. He’s had the luxury of Venables being there the entire time. Which is kind of shocking considering how good of a DC he was.
