Im not pushing for anybody. but ppl acting like a coach cant improve and learn from mistakes is just short sighted.

Coach O didn't build that USC team and he didn't build this LSU team. If he wants to prove he has learned from his previous experiences he needs to go win at a school that will hire him as head coach. And last year Syracuse wouldn't even give him an interview. Maybe he should try La Tech.

He doesn't have to build LSU from scratch. You think our recruiting classes are going to be worse with O than Miles?
They would probably be ranked about the same but with more linemen and Qbs than TE and kickers and a bunch of skill guys who never see the field.

I like Orgeron as a person and a d line coach, but let's not compare him to a Super Bowl winning head coach Also why didn't he do this at Ole Miss?

Carroll got USC on probation not Ogeron and Kiffin.

That may be true but lsu shouldnt be a guinea pig to see if Orgeron can coach. He needs to go to a lower level job to prove himself.

If this is your point of view then Jimbo is the only qualified candidate, and even then it will be an adjustment for him to play week in and week out in the SEC West vs having to really prepare for one or two games a year in the ACC.

LSU is going to have to be someone's "guinea pig" if we ever want to find a truly elite coach. You don't get to just go cherry pick them after they make it apparent they're a sure thing.

Their 1st gig wasn't at a lesser school in the SEC West either

O has risen to my current second favorite behind Jimbo.
