How do we finalize the defensive staff?

With the Corey Raymond news, we have potentially linebackers, safeties coaches left. It’s also possible Raymond coaches the whole secondary and Baker takes up linebackers.

How is this possible? BK fired 4 defensive coaches and now has hired 4 new defensive coaches?

Could add TJ Rushing still. He will give us another recruiter and can coach either corners and safeties as well.

You may have got your answer… LSU hired Jake Olsen from Mizzou. He is an analyst/defense and has some experience with special teams…

Hopefully they get a good strong developer as a safeties coach.

Saw someone say Olsen might be the safeties coach… idk about that, but it would be a letdown IMO. Once again, IMO. However, Ill trust Baker and if he thinks someone is ready so be it. Baker has coached linebackers and safeties so he will know how to teach it and get someone to do it right.

Slade Nagle has experience coaching STs. He would coach TE/ST imo.
Not a huge fan of that I’d prefer a fully dedicated ST coach but it is what it is

Really no big skins on the wall. Not proven, so I’d prefer someone with more experience. With that said, he’s been with Blake from 2021 at LSU I believe and supposedly worked with the safeties at Mizzou. That’s why said Id trust Blake. If he thinks he is a good coach and works well with him/knows what type of defense Blake wants to run, it could be a solid move.

People forget Raymond coached cbs and safeties for the first part of his career here
Not saying he’s gonna do it again
