The main reason is he has zero experience in the NFL in any capacity at all. The reason that Kliff Kingsbury is an exception to that is that he's coached 3 current NFL starters (Case Keenum, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield) and was Johnny Manziel's OC at A&M. Generally speaking, the NFL doesn't entertain guys who have zero experience in the NFL as a player or coach.

You don’t see many rah-rah guys like him in the NFL anymore.

The NFL has never forgotten the great Lou Holtz-Jets debacle. Grown arse men didn't want to sing his fight songs and do cheers.

don't think his "rahrah go team, we're a big Christian family!" routine would work nearly as well in the NFL.

that plus not getting to recruit the top qb.

That’s why he used the word “exception.”

Clemson will match anything an NFL team will offer . Plus like others have said , he is not an Xs and Os coach . He is great recruiter like Saban and Smart.

Position coach, culture guy. NFL is in love with coordinators as HCs.

Because the NFL can see that Dabo is a really shitty in-game coach who makes decision that would cost him games if the talent level were equal.

Young, energetic guy. Could connect with NFL players. Is he not “Xs and Os” enough?

Just ask Nick Saban why he came back to at the college level?

Dabo has said several times the only job that he would leave Clemson for is to coach Alabama.

The guy who hired him at clemson actually thought very highly of football IQ. With that being said he has been content with stepping out of the way of his coordinator's way
