Regardless if Herman heads to Columbia, it will only be a matter of time before he returns to the state of Texas or takes a higher profile job. I think he’ll be patient and wait for a top 10-15 job to open up. JMO

We didn't expect a SEC hire this offseason and we will get two. Its fun.

Ole Miss hasn't beat SC this decade or ever been to a SECCG
Are you seriously bragging about going to the SEC championship 1 time in a game that you got beat 56-17?

USCe gonna end up with someone like Skip Holtz

As soon as Spurrier resigned that name popped into my head. It makes a lot of sense, but I hope for South Carolina's sakes that they end up with a better hire.

I pointed out that the person I was replying to was wrong, and I through a jab about Ole Miss, are you seriously having trouble following the context?

Why would you think these jobs are better than USC?

And you listed TCU in both better and just as good

Are you really asking why UCLA is a better job than South Carolina?

UCLA is the one that makes the most sense to me but there are some major downsides that make me question if it is clearly better than USC.

Its laughable to consider Ole Miss, Cal, Washington, Baylor and TCU as clearly better than USC though.

You are fricking delusional. South Carolina is a perennial bottom feeder and only like 20 games above .500 all time. You're setting yourself up for major disappointment if you're expecting some groundbreaking hire. Florida and Tennessee are on the rise, it's time to accept the fact that 6-6/7-5 seasons are about as good as it's going to get from here on out. The battle for the fifth spot with Kentucky should be awesome to watch over the next 20 years. Just edge of your seat excitement

its laughable to think that South Carolina is better than those IMO

Ole Miss, Cal, Washington no doubt

TCU and Baylor have a lot going for it right now and if you ask a recruit, 90% will pick those two over uSC

uSC just doesnt have a national appeal. i cant ever remember saying, oh yeah south carolina game is on tonight, thats stop down TV. they just arent a huge draw. the only reason they were was because of Spurrior.

We're not talking about recruits choosing to play for teams.

Can you not articulate your own opinion or are you just full of shite and listed and bunch of schools that are either historically better or currently better?

I'd like to see some rationale for why so many on this board thinks the USC job is not desirable besides "hurrr durrrr y'all's football history is shite"

Interesting. Out of curiosity, what would be the downsides that would make USC more appealing?

The big one is that UCLA is second fiddle to Southern Cal in an already crowded sports market that could get even more crowded if an NFL team moves to LA.

So being fourth fiddle most years in the East is better than being second fiddle to USC? I guess it's all in how you look at it. I will throw in that USC is in flux and if they don't handle things the right way UCLA could grab the lead.
