Isn’t there talk that UT folks are getting impatient with Huepel?

They're worse than LSU fan?

He is?

He is this year. His offenses are always good. He and Kiffin are the top 2 in the conference for sure.

You do for Kiffin though, right?

Check my post history. I’m not on the Kiffin train either, but I think Kiffin is a better option than Heupel comparatively.

If winning at Tennessee is hard, then winning at OM is brutal.

There are maybe 3 fan bases in all of college football that aren’t saying negative things about their coaches on message boards. This is not a good gauge of capabilities.

I actually may have a little sauce on this one. I live in East Tennessee, and a friend of mine knows someone in sports media in Knoxville who said LSU has reached out to Heupel's agent last week to gauge his interest.
There's not a perfect candidate out there, but we'd be getting a great offense and a playoff-level coach. Sounds like an upgrade to me.

It is interesting about how fans perceive Heupel and Kiffin.

Heupel has made the playoffs, Kiffin has not, but Kiffin's team is doing better this year.

Yet fans would vote to get Kiffin over Josh to a wildly disproportionate degree.

I do wonder of a lot of it is Kiffin's history, personality, and looks.

Its another Coach that I just cannot see us hiring. But to be fair I didn't see us wanting or offering Kelly either.

I personally don’t think he is a grand slam, I think he could do well with what we have here now. I’m concerned with is he going to stay a long time if we get him. I have a feeling the second Oklahoma job is open which looks like it will be next season will he jump on that one, given we arent going to have high buyouts for our next head coach

It’s historically much harder to win at Ole Miss than Tennessee. Year in and year out Tennessee is putting more money into their program.
You could also argue UCF regressed under Heupel.

With that said, Tennessee’s first few scripted drives are beautiful. He is a good offensive coach

When Heupel got the job, Ten was at one of the lowest points in modern program history

Ole Miss has as much money, if not more, coming in.

I’m not being dumb. I’m being a realist. We aren’t going to be giving coaches 53 million to fire them anymore.

Huepel sure shoved it where the sun doesn't shine on Fat Boy's $100 Million Mistake.
