I'd bet their meltdown is epic. Texans are a proud bunch, and I'm sure the thought that (in their opinion - not mine) a redneck school, in a redneck state, could keep a coach they wanted from joining their ranks is killing them.

Aint no meltdown and I think anyone was reallly delusional if they in their heart o f hearts thought the Tiger fans would have a meltdown. Most of the whole story was a laughing line and great entertainment, I dont care who you pull for.

i am ECSTATIC he's staying, personally… LSU pulls much more talent from Texas, than Bama does from Louisiana, but if Saban would have headed out West, that shite would have changed for the worse in LSU direction…
as it stands now, Bama has to fight in-state rival Auburn and up and coming Florida State for the best Alabama/Florida/Georgia talent…. LSU, for the most part, has East Texas all to it's lonesome, as it stands right about now…
Saban going to Texas actually would have been WORSE for a healthy LSU, in my opinion, as we would have to fight for top recruits that we pretty much "take what we want" as of now…
the BEST option for LSU is for him to get bored and retire, not go to a program that has no problem offering the best of the best facilities, recruits itself, etc, especially when that is prime real estate for our current program...

Let me speak for all tiger fans. We don't give a frick about Nick Saban are you coaching situation. What we are going to focus on is beating the best team in the confernce and now that is Auburn. So what is the big deal about little Nicky? He doesn't even coach the best team in the state of Alabama.
