ND is much harder to win at than LSU.

And to recruit to given their location and academics I would think.

I just don’t see the positive here

That’s OK, because I fail to see how LSU is NC or South Carolina

Compare ages of those coaches at the time of those hires.

And compare their coaching status at the time of the hire

And compare the results of their last coaching stints prior to the hire

Thanks

LSU hired Ed Orgeron, a DL coach, to fix their offense.

You think that's somehow better than hiring Brian Kelly, a head coach who is 263-96-2, 92-39 at Notre Dame, with 2 appearances in the college football playoffs and a NC appearance in '13?

Who do you hire, tomorrow, who can go toe-to-toe with Nick Saban and Kirby Smart like Kelly can?

I'd probably go with Matt Campbell or Matt Rhule, but Kelly is not some scrub.

If you would have stated South Carolina hiring Steve Spurrier (also 60 when hired), then you would have been accurate.

Yep. His recruiting would improve if he came to LSU. These are Notre Dame's 2022 recruits per state. Recruiting is the least of my concerns.
