He very well MIGHT!
And probably has earned the right at a shot as a HC.

The question is does a program the status of LSU take that chance...I would say NO!

If LSU ends up looking for a new HC, I think they need someone with proven HC experience.

And people wanted to ban me for suggesting Croom.

It's simple...two coaches have shown that a person can come here and contend for the NC (at certainly be in the discussion) on a consistent basis. There's no reason why LSU should not be able to get an HC (and a good one) from another school. We can pay what is necessary to get them, we have the facilities and the local talent pool AND we're in the SEC.

Unless LSU is going to, once again, hire on the cheap and try to find that "diamond in the rough" (and I am not saying Miles is {was} that), we should not even be thinking about a college co-ordinator (maybe pros).

If Gene Chizik had to settle for the head coaching job at Iowa State, then no way Muschamp or any coordinator without HC experience gets a job of LSU's caliber.

I wonder, though, if Muschamp would be considered for the Ole Miss job.

It should be Will Muschamp he will bring INTENSITY and blitzing schemes like crazy. That is the #1 thing LSU lacks right now is intensity and Muschamp will without a doubt bring it. If you wanna see just go watch the boom video from the 03 year he's out there pushing guys around. Watch an Auburn game today and watch his intensity.

If we hire him as a coordinator he'll just leave in a few years to be a head coach.

Coach O brought intensity to Ole Miss. You see what that got them. Intensity alone ain't worth jack.

Well we see what happens without intensity?(Les Miles) Honestly go to youtube and watch the Boom video look at the players they have a different swagger. They were always jumping around pumped up to play. Wins the last time you saw our players do that. Besides Muschamp has the resume Auburn's defense is a tough blitzing put the QB on in his D. He can also recruit.
