Forget Riley. Hire Campbell right now . At least a good a coach as Riley , if not outright better.

But is he better than Urban?

He is 6-4 on the season… This was supposed to be his big year. Ouch.

Your flip flopping from name to name is embarrassing.

LSU is whale hunting, not pond fishing.

Hated that 3rd down call. Seemed like a low percentage play. Oh well.

I'm more concerned with spiking the ball after a first down on consecutive series where there was time to run plays. They unnecessarily burned downs.

Campbell is good for 3 to 5 losses per season.

Cuz he has made Iowa St. competitive. Not much else you can ask for. They are not a 10 win a season program.

Campbell coached a hell of a game.

His quarterback is not good. If he was able to get 30 points a game out of that kid, I call that impressive.

Stop it ! You're making way too much sense. Expect to be attacked. I love the posts damning hiring him. I think with the talent he would have available here in La he would consistantly beat Riley w/ his Ok. teams. I'm not a coach, never played football (school didn't field a team), but i've watched it for 55 + years, and bet on it for 55 years , and have actually worked for a company that sold my picks. And that's a fact .Point is , I'm not entirely niave about college football.

Paraphrase of Saban

The focus is on preparation and execution winning takes care of itself

There is no PERFECT coach and Campbell is tier one of realistic options

The only whale in the ocean is not available
It is extremely hard to hire a top 5 coach away from a top school. If it was easy someone would have done it by now

This is basically what Nick Saban says in a less artful way. Focus on the process and. ot the result.
