Yes, I believe DALSU nailed it last year.

That eating-a-shite-sandwich look on Alleva's face when he got up to that podium to announce "Les Miles is our coach" said it all.

WAY too much smoke about all of this. LSU isn't leaking these stories. I FIRMLY believe the people who leaked this we're guys that knew LSU was in Houston yesterday and it got back to Austin and boosters trying to force an admins hand.

This is exactly what happened. Desperate boosters at TX seeing Herman slip away. I hope Tom holds firm and tells them to pound sand when they make a desperation call to him tonight. I would hope Herman is scheduled to be at the lsu facility tomorrow afternoon

We all know how badly some of you Herman homers want a spread offense. Indeed, bad enough to take a big gamble on an unproven head coach who may or may not turn out to be the next Charlie Strong. Nonetheless, I have no reason to doubt 9458, as he is the only insider whose information thus far has turned out to be 100 percent accurate. You can't say the same thing about DA and Random

I hope 9458 is paying you well to shill for him.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Herman to go to TAMU, since it is closer to Houston, his favorite area to recruit, gives him a chance to get into the SEC where he can win a NC, and not have to totally uproot his family? Big money in College Station, and it would definitely light up a chitstorm with Texas. Jimbo is likely getting cold feet because of his family situation and kids, and FSU is gonna match any money someone offers.
Not trying to throw a monkey wrench in the works, but speaking from experience, never count your chickens till they get up and say how happy they are to be at your university. Let's face it, at least we're not the Champions of Life....

To frick with UT it would be great if someone would start up a grassroots "Keep Charlie Strong" Campaign. Push it on social media, create a change.org petition, etc. Maybe throw in some racial tension to get the SJW's pumping it.

You just don't like what 9458 has to say, because you want a spread offense so badly that you can taste it and you are willing to gamble on an unproven head coach who could become the next can't miss Charlie Strong. Indeed, he has less than 2 years head coaching experience coaching another coach's players.

Some of us are perfectly fine with Jimbo's offense. It suits the current personnel a lot better, so there wouldn't be any awkward transition period to a different style. It isn't all about obsessing over systems.

ESPN even reported that LSU officials were in Houston yesterday before the game.

Well they were in Houston yesterday, why wouldn't they be? It's on the way to College Station.

quote:

They were there for Herman

Maybe or maybe not. What time did Houston leave to head to Memphis yesterday and would Herman have time to meet with them? If he did, I bet it would be a very short meeting. Anyway, I have no doubt that they made an offer to Herman. However, I don't know when.

quote:

They were there for Herman.

Actually they were there on their way to College Station. Whether they met with Herman or not is anyone's guess. I imagine that they might have stopped by to introduce themselves. Or otherwise met with Herman's agent to make them an offer, but I really don't know.

quote:

Their sources know that, but the anchors are going to report a detailed meeting in respect for Houstons game today.

Uhm ESPN found out about it because Texas boosters went berserk after hearing the news that LSU had made Herman an offer. Then they sent out Chris Low to go investigate the story. If the Houston players were watching the game and they probably were, then they got an ear full.

quote:

I think it's Herman. If he was in Baton Rouge last weekend. LSU officials in Houston yesterday. There's absolutely NO WAY LSU leaks this information to the media (frick you, Mark May). I think LSU releasing a statement during the game proves that.

Actually, I think you are wrong, since I read on several websites last night that it was Herman's camp that leaked the news of LSU's offer. Which usually means that they are using LSU's offer as leverage, and if that is the case, then Herman isn't planning to come to LSU. Meanwhile, as far as LSU's statement goes last night, it was just a big no comment.

Nonetheless, LSUtigers9458 said on his first posts 4 days ago to the Coaching Change Board that it would be Fisher, but that there would be a media shite storm that would happen in a few days with all kinds of misinformation being passed along to keep everyone guessing, and that media shite storm started happening a couple of days ago and then exploded last night. He said it would happen to deflect focus off of Jimbo and also because last year when F King and Bobby Jindal intervened to nix the deal with Jimbo, that the national media crucified the LSU administration for scheming to fire Miles behind his back and pretended like Miles was an outstanding coach. So this time around, the LSU administration is prepared to do whatever it takes to prevent that media shite storm from happening again. Which is why, according to LSUtigers9458, we are hearing all that noise and misinformation about Herman going to LSU, when the Jimbo negotiations are already a done deal.

By the way, I just saw Herman deny any knowledge of an offer made by LSU on ESPN and he was pretty convincing, but nonetheless he was also very lying. Supposedly Houston is also giving him a 7 figure raise as well.

Nice post except for the fact that the Jimbo negotiations are already a done deal until they introduce him as our new head football coach anytime from Sunday to Tuesday.

Isn't Coach O's "interview" today? His camp talks quickly so it may confirm a few things:

A) He's fired because we hired Herman. DALSU and his final scenario begins to take shape as described. We should expect to hear something final tomorrow.

B) He's fired because we hired Jimbo. We should expect to hear something Monday.

C) It's a formal interview and Coach O's fate is unclear. This means we've probably struck out on both JF and TH.

D) There is no meeting/interview and suddenly we absolutely don't know shite again.

We are on the precipice of really messing this thing up...

All of you Chicken Littles, name one thing, just ONE THING, that Texas has done right in regards to football in the last 3 years. They didn't even fire Mack Brown the right way, as they let him stick around and stir the pot against the guy they wanted to hire. Everything since then has just been comedy.

What makes all of you think they pick today to stop fricking it all up over there? They could. They could get their shite together and nail this hire, but I'll believe it when I see it. Just look at all of the back and forth reports last Sunday of "Strong is fired," "No, he's not fired, we want to sit here with our dicks in our hands for a week while the players go on TV and cry about how they want the coach to stay instead of getting on with the business at hand." Do you really see the crew behind this succeeding?

The president of the university said he's keeping Strong. No grass roots needed. He has to be fired first and reports say they have the same situation we had last year over there. President thinks Strong hasn't been given enough time and likes the way things are heading very much.
