I still believe, as I have for a while, that it’s Campbell with O’Brien as the fallback.

But...

What about:

Jeremy Chadwell
Dan Lanning
Mike Elko
Jim Leonard
Jeff Traylor
Bill Clark
Shawn Clark

I like Dan Lanning. I just don’t know how much Kirby is holding his hand.

Wisky is his alma mater. He wouldn’t come here.

Hiring Lanning would be like hiring Muschamp. Hire the master or else it’s a big roll of the dice. Georgia is lucky Smart is great at recruiting and is a good defensive coach because Smart was a big gamble.

Lol I never heard of any of them mfers. Guess I don’t watch that much college football other than SEC, and so barely listen to the commentators.

Honestly I don’t know them either.

These names were provided to me by my bro in law who is an assistant coach.

So under the radar you got Chadwell’s first name wrong. It’s Jamey Chadwell

Are these supposed to be unknown names? They're all pretty well known. Either top coordinators or newish G5 coaches having success. Generally speaking either big risks with huge upsides. I have pretty major reservations about Lanning (it's awfully hard to trust a coordinator coaching under a head coach who is elite at their side of the ball), Chadwell (gimmick offense+skeletons in the closet), and Shawn Clark (not derailing a top G5 program doesn't impress me very much). I'm also not convinced that Bill Clark would really work at LSU because his coaching philosophy is basically Les Miles and that's pretty hard to defend when you're in the same conference as Georgia and Alabama.

I'd much rather the other names than somebody like Bill O Brien or Mark Stoops though.
