That would be terrible for LSU recruiting. These guys developing relationships with HS coaches in Louisiana and then compete against LSU but we know he can't score.

Moo St. firing Mullen would be the biggest slap in the face to a coach since FIU and Cristobal. He should be damn near coach for life for getting that outhouse to #1 for even a week.

They should name a street after him.

State would be stupid to fire Mullen

Let me preface what I'm about to say by saying that article is just stupid. From everyone that does not follow Msu football closely, yes it would be incredibly stupid to fire Mullen this year. He deserves another year to try to turn it around, but Mullen isn't doing himself any favors. He's arrogant and stubborn, which already doesn't sit well with a southern small town fan base and REALLY doesn't sit well when you are getting beat. His recruiting effort is pathetic. He has lost legacy recruits at Msu pipelines. He employs friends on his staff and their position groups have been awful the last 2-3 years. His team has simply quit on him this year, I'm talking about obvious quitting. There are a couple of rumors about him and his Miami interview and if those rumors are true, any other employer would have fired him on the spot.
All in all, he has earned one year to try to turn it around, but when you lose a team, it's hard to get them back. Most seem to think he will take the Purdue or BC job at the end of the year so there is a mutual parting of ways.

I feel for Mullen, he had a few great chances to leave Cow Town but was loyal and stayed. Looks like that was a mistake.

You won't want Miles then.

He is gone only if hired away...he could do better than representing ungrateful fans for what he has done with this bottom tier program.
State fans want better teams, then pay your coordinators to stay and not leave every year for a better gig.
Donate more $ so they are not the lowest SEC budget for football.
Give his yearly extension so he has stability for recruiting.
And stop saying he is gone, recruiting there is tough enough with Ole Miss in the State.
If OM get sanctions, it could help with recruiting depth which has plagued State for ever.
He takes 2 & 3 star players and makes them NFL quality. Just so many of those players are gone now and the team is young (rebuilding). Not enough depth to reload like Bama or LSU.
And yes, I am an Alumnus of M State so this comes from someone who follows the program.

Just think where Dan would be if Miles would have recruited Dak to be a QB

Let Dak Prescott come back to be our coach

Miles might be a fit, that is some of his traits.
