Questions of increasing importance:
1) How goes the Auburn OC search?
2) Do we have a list of realistic candidates?
3) Any predictions on when a hire is made?
4) Will he have a mustache?
Just wondering what the rumors are at this point in time.

Chizik and the person he wants are the only two that know this.
All else is crap.

He mentioned at the BVG presser that it was "coming along" or something like that.
Coach speak obviously, but for Chizik I was surprised he said that much. Doubt someone gets brought in before the weekend, though.
ETA: "Making progress" but "no timeline". Said he "feels really good about it, but they're still in the process."

Next week on the OC (depends on who wins and loses in the NFL)... Not sure who he wants to interview...

Apparently, now one has connections within the clubhouse any more. So the OC hire will probably come out of left field, just like the DC hire did.

I have no inside info but imo if we were hiring from the college ranks Blake Anderson would have been our target. I think it is most likely an established OC looking for a new job(ie Koetter) or a qb coach whose team is still in the playoffs.

Y'all should read all in if you want to learn how Chiziks likes doing business. He doesn't want any word getting out on who the hire will be and we've seen that first with pelton, and now with BVG. He doesn't like to put someone's name in the news and hurt their reputation as someone who is going behind their school/teams back looking for another job.
