He’s kind of a weird culture fit in the south. He’s a Midwest guy and his recruiting connections seem to be mostly centered up there. That served him well being right on the border there at UK. It’s different taking that to LA or Texas. Maybe he adjusts and it won’t be a big deal, but it will be something worth watching.
Also, he seems even more prickly than Jimbo when dealing with the media. How do you think that would go over at either LSU or A&M if you have fewer than 9 or 10 wins? Same applies with boosters. He won’t get the kind of leeway in the deep south that he did at UK.

What does this mean? Name all the current head coaches that have won a national championship that would leave their current school to coach A&M?

Dabo? lol not a chance in hell
Mack Brown? If you are desperate but he still would say no
Kirby? Forget about it.
You fired a coach who won a national championship. He won something and still sucked. You are paying him $75 mil to stay away. That’s fricking bad. Like horrible bad.
At least Kelly brought ND to the playoffs. Only 4 teams can make it. Stoops never made it to Atlanta.
