No thanks!

Chip didn't "make" him. Chip and a lot of other coaches are on record saying Helf is one of the more brilliant offensive minds in the game. The offense got more diverse and better under Helf than it was with Chip. Helf wasn't stubborn like Chip and didn't run the same inside zone play for 2.3 yards the whole game. The passing game was better. There was less of the "go for it on 4th and 10" type of stuff after his first year.

Had he hired a decent D coordinator after Nick Aliotti retired it probably never would have gotten to this. But he didn't. Then he compounded it by actually finding someone to make the situation worse. His apparent humanity made him a bad CEO.

You mean Florida is getting Sextonned. They'll wind up paying for it if he's floating Mclwain's name

Oregon insiders on 247 are saying the new coach has already signed the dotted line, and that the fans will be very very happy.

It's kiffin

The only thing that would really worry me is his ability to develop a QB. He tried to rely on two grad transfers instead of any of the guys who have been on the team for a few years. Then went with the true freshman.

Why would Oregon fans be happy with Kiffin? He's been a disaster as a head coach at every stop. Including at the biggest football factory on the west coast!

If it is Kiffin, I'm sure there's some type of a morals/conduct clause so he'll be gone by next year when Chip gets fired from the 9ers.

Yeah. I guess I just feel bad for him. I've only ever seen people rave about how great of a guy he is

Why would they be very happy?

Oregon fans know Kiffin quite well from USC. It wasn't too long ago. Kiffin isn't inheriting Bama's D.

Scott Frost was largely responsible for the recruiting void that left Oregon having to rely on graduate transfer QBs. Even though he wasn't the OC this year that was the recruiting situation he left behind for the new OC.

Doubt Oregon will hire him as head coach.
