I am not making fun at all. Hiring coaches is not as easy as it sounds with everybody making good money these days . Hell wait til Saban retires ... hiring a coach will be a shitshow

So 4th and goal from the 1 @ Mizzou happened all over again. Coach O has turned into Coach uh-oh. This looks terrible for the program and Coach O since he shot his shot in public and came up with an airball.

Can we officially put to rest “LSU can get whoever they want!”

We have gotten our shite pushed in on every coach that had options since maybe Aranda.

Our administration was so completely duped that apparently we were preparing to make an official announcement.

I don't take it that way. Clearly a perceived quality of life thing for his family in what will ultimately be a stepping stone, 2-yr max, stint.

THIS! From Ohio and played at OSU. Lot easier to relocate a large, young family to South Bend from Cincy, than B.R. ND is a top 5-10 program. Hard to get excited about.

Sucks, but my guess is he’s banking on Kelly job stability to O job stability. Players/recruits walking in to, $, LSU’s current history of making coaches-Saban, Miles, O, Fisher, Aranda, Grimes. Get the next hungry one

Wife didn't want to move that far with the six kids. Plus, their families live close to Notre Damn. Family over $$ and SEC. We all knew it was going to be an issue.

Don't forget that program is more stable than ours with a HC that isn't going anywhere and doesn't have some other stuff going on as well. It makes total sense in every way why he took the ND job.

We have better talent, probably facilities and can pay a little more.

He can still get a good HC job after being a DC at ND and doesn't have to worry about the HC getting canned in one year. It's in his backyard.

He told his linebackers this afternoon he was going to LSU. So even he was duped. It was only LSU because of the money.

Freeman, per a source in Cincinnati with direct knowledge, had told his Bearcats’ linebackers Friday afternoon that he was departing and had chosen to accept LSU’s offer. Notre Dame sources had told FootballScoop earlier on Friday that the Irish appeared out of the mix to land Freeman,

It’s not LSU. It’s Baton Rouge.

That’s very strange, if true.
