It’s not a popular opinion I’m certain but the issue is O not LSU. If we were willing to let O go and replace with Fickell then we end up with Freeman and what I personally consider a better coach. I know it’s a huge assumption that Fickle comes but it’s my opinion. At a minimum LSU needs a coach that can lock down one side of the ball in terms of coaching. I think Dabo may be the only successful coach I can think of that doesn’t really get involved. That’s systems works only when you can keep solid coordinators despite the opportunities successes brings. LSU hasn’t been able to do that. Having a head coach that can plug in an analyst/Coordinator in waiting and help them game plan and call helps. I don’t think that O has that ability. Again, just my opinion.
