What's hard for me to do is pick a guy like Petersen and put him at the top but I know he's probably the least likely out of them all.

If you're going to throw in Chris Peterson and Chip Kelly, you might as well throw in Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh.

No we didn't. Miles never recruited like Saban, I want someone who is in top or top 3 every year. Miles held his head above water because of good recruiting too.

Sure we did. The proof is not what some hacks say at the recruiting websites (even though they rated his classes very highly). It's looking at NFL rosters. It was past time for him to go, but let's not lose our minds over here.

Even if CalTiger wants better recruiting rankings, then Jimbo is the ticket, not O. Jimbo has proven that he can recruit as a HC and not a few guys each year as a Dline coach.

Tom Herman over Jimbo Fisher and Chris Petersen is laughable. It's like people have only been watching football for two years.

Miles was an excellent recruiter and we had a stacked recruiting staff. No matter who we pick, we won't have a better collection of recruiters than we've had the past couple yearsPosted on 10/28/16 at 5:11 pm to SportTiger1

I like O but at this time I only had him ahead of PJ Fleck in this poll. I like the spot LSU is in right now. If O keeps doing well that continues to give LSU leverage in negotiating with other coaches. Fisher or another big target would know we really have other options.

Thanks for this, but it is truly frightening Orgeron is already in 4th considering we haven't even started our Nov. Run of games.

I think Miles was fired when he was for the same reason that Florida fired Zook before they played FSU. They had made a decision that he was not the guy for the future and didn't want an upset win of some sort to confuse the issue or mobilize support.
In short I'm pointing out Orgeron has just played the easiest portion of LSU's schedule. Losing one of those games would have been surprising. Unless LSU does beat Alabama this is probably the highest his support will get all year.
