Thank you. These people aren't fans. They are dorks who sit on a computer for 20 hrs a day talking about how wrong everything in their life is without actually living a life. I would bet most didn't go to college and definitely don't buy season tickets.

If I believed that the games had no bearing on who the administration hires, then yes, cheering like hell no matter what would make sense. But that's not the case, Coach O's chances for getting this job actually are contingent on winning these games, which is ridiculously short-sighted to me.

When the administration is that moronic, I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a short-term disappointment to avoid a long term disaster. Once the permanent coach is hired, whoever it is, I will cheer like hell.

This is a complex situation. Of course I would hate it for the players and seniors to lose but if it would ensure that coach O doesn't get the job then I think I would still be ok with a loss. It's like collateral damage.
