You really need to add the relationships he will make in Texas with high school coaches, as a former HS coach that rose through the ranks very quickly.

He is undefeated against Saban as a HC. If he leaves, it isn't because of Bama.

Ask Tubberville how that worked out.

Gus runs an offense that will work great in the Big 12.

Yup, because he's had trouble running it in the SEC

Funny how he went from high school coach to bama fans hoping he takes the Texas job.

Okay, don't think this is close to true. However, Texass didn't go after Saban over the last week or two. It was a rogue group of wealthy boosters.

IF... and this is a big IF... Texass AD and high level old money boosters now approaches Saban then I would think there is a good chance that at least Saban hears what they have to say.

Last week it wasn't the University of Texass talking with anyone. If Saban gets approached over the next week or two then I honestly think Bama fans will have cause for concern. Last week was a power play that was done through internet, blogs, pay sites, etc... shady and impatient pups in Austin.

Any approach from this point forward will be legit and anything could happen. So there is a bit of truth in what you are saying. Saban to Texas drama may crank up for real in the next few weeks. Saban could squash it immediately if he has no interest and Texass will move on quickly.

Gus has family in TX and knows its only a matter of time before the gimmick offense folds in the SEC. Plus he will have to fight Chizik at Toomer's Corner for the UT job... Trooper is making book..

The top programs in the nation looked at Saban, and he stayed at Alabama. So saying Gus will leave is a bit of a stretch.

Plus, this says all you need to know in terms of whether Gus Bus is parked in Auburn, Alabama.

I have been saying this from day one. While I pose Saban questions/troll, I really think Gus is their man.

I didn't say he was leaving. All I said was that I didn't think anyone with any authority acting on behalf of Texass had really approached him or made him an offer. If he gets approached now it will be by someone with the authority to speak with him.

We will find out soon enough.

Saban would look like a complete fool if he left Bama after all that he said yesterday. He'd lose all credibility with recruits and Sumlin would be able to negatively recruit him easily. He's not going anywhere.

The reaction nationwide, not just Alabama, would be ten times worse than Miami and the aftermath.

Yes I happen to agree with you. I didn't say he was leaving. I said Texass has not officially contacted him. HUGE difference.

Should be pretty obvious by now that all he rumors of $10M, $8.5M, 10 year, 8 year, 1% of LHN, Saban's wife buying a home, etc.... etc... etc... was ALL misinformation. None of it was true. Zero, Zilch, Nada, None.

The only thing we know now is that Texas has a coach that resigned and now they have an opening. They will be going after what they consider the best starting at the top of their list.

Gumps are hoping and praying that Gus leaves. They know that if he stays what he is going to do at Auburn. Gus is going to get better recruits and add even more talent. Saban can't beat Gus's scheme when Auburn is good. REC going to work.
