Gus Malzahn to southern miss?

Would be perfect for him IMO. Gus will be a great HC one day, but I think he needs to start out a place like USM. He will be the next hot young HC very soon.

Two years removed from high school? I would be shocked and disgusted if USM fired Bower who had 14 straight winning seasons to bring in a coordinator two years removed from being a high school coach. That would be a shame.

As I stated in another thread......
Gus has literally written a book on the Hurry up, No Huddle Offense
He won never ending consecutive state titles in Arkansas.
He then, in his first year out of HS and direct to the SEC, won the Rivals OC of the Year.
He then went to the nations smallest school with ZERO talent, Tulsa, and has orchestrated the #1 Offense in the Nation.
He is once again the front runner for OC of the Year.
Do not let his "lack of experience" fool you. He is widely considered a football genius and has tremendous respect from his peers.
He has literally won every where he has gone and done so in a fashion that drops jaws.

In two years he's been to the conference championship. I know its cusa but tulsa has the top 3 offense in the nation.

Why? USM is going to have to take a chance on a young coach. If they want to build their program to be respectable, they have to have a gimmick/spread offense. That's the only way to build a program fast at a mid-major school.

i'm not ripping on malzhan, but you paint the picture that this is lil ole tulsa and he turned them around
they were 24th in offense last year and their offensive mastermind got hired at louisville
