As far as Petrino, he was at Louisville for 4 years. That was his first HC job. He then went to the NFL and said "F this, I want back in college". I believe Saban and Spurrier did the same. So did Sherman and countless other coaches.

Did you want him to go back to Louisville? This is his 2nd college HC job since 2002. Give it a rest or know your facts.

Unless you are 14 or live in a bubble, you are more than familiar with the U of A "Calling the Hogs".

I'm not sure what you would want a program to do other than scream "Woo Pig Sooie", the schools cheer, but I'm guessing anything shy of a "Geaux Tigers" would be gay to you.

Those who are familiar with the Billions of dollars Arkansas (Wal-Mart&Tyson) has access to, should not be surprised that they opened the vault.

Arkansas has more money than most, an entire state behind it, the best facilities in the SEC, and do not confuse yourself into thinking that "lil ole' Arkansas can't get talent."

If you figs will go ahead and kick OSU in the balls and bring home a NC, the SEC can pretty much flip the finger to whomever we please.

Several LR and Fayetteville news stations reported on the 10pm news that Jerry Jones is the one who has committed to the AU buy out.

The money comes from several outlets.

The Walton family, 4 of the top 10 wealthiest people in the US, calls NWA home and write checks on request.

Don Tyson owns the worlds largest chicken company and is a member of the U of A Board of Trustees.

Above and beyond that, Jerry Jones dumps money in the program along with various others.

Tigerark I understand Billionaires can not MAKE you a winner (OSU).

My point was that anyone that lives under the assumption that a move from AU to UA is a step down is mistaking.

If you branch out beyond football, AU can not even begin to compare in athletic success.

But, lets stick to football. Arkansas is the only show in the state. They do not split recruits with anyone. They have money, support, and facilities to die for. With a mediocre coach Arkansas has managed to go to 8 bowls in 10 years, win the west 3 times, and put up so so numbers with great talent.

A great coach would be a major boost for an already stable program with amazing assets.

TT frequently flies home (R-Kansas). Nothing new there.

TT, by his own admission, has friends fly him in to R-Kansas for duck hunting season. His trip to R-Kansas has been planned for some time. Nothing new there either.

With all of that said, THIS duck hunting trip included Jim Lindsay, a member of the U of A Board of Trustee's, that keeps his hand in all things football. He was a team mate of Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson under Broyles.

We will see if there is actually fire with this smoke in the coming days.
