I'm guessing there are plenty who just do not like the new landscape of CFB. 60 and probably worth 15-25 Mil, why not call it a night if it just isn't fun anymore?

Auburn should have never fired him.

Quite possibly the biggest coaching firing mistake in the modern era (depending on how Franklin does at Va Tech).

Not like the aggies made a smart move when they fired Sumlin and got jimbo.

Not as dumb as many think. Sumlin mis-handled two NFL QBs and could never get back to where he was with JFF. Jimbo wasn't directly successful, but he was ahead of the curve modernizing A&M recruiting to account for NiL.

Looking at the success A&M had last year, much of it was due to NiL players brought in and players recruited under Jimbo. I don't know if all of that was worth the extra $75 million Jimbo was paid, but Sumlin didn't leave a good legacy like that.
