The sad thing is that team is fairly close. Bortles is the problem but such is life as a HC in the NFL.
Today I am not sure why they abandoned the run with 2:50 left and 3 TOs. Ivory was averaging over 4 yds a carry and they only needed a FG. That was terrible.

Jacksonville could use a real hard nosed, diligent, fiery, roll-the-sleeves-up-and-get-to-work kinda guy.

That guy treated these jag players like delicate flowers and they repaid him with half-arse effort every game. I hope the next coach is tom c. And he rides these flowers hard. Having to watch the jags for last 6 or 7 years has not been fun.

I don't disagree on a young coach, but it's a risk, just like Bradley. Turner was 56-40 at SD with only 1 losing season (7-9) and has a great track record with QBs.

The problem with gus is he was 'A players Coach". What i mean by that he didn't yell at them , he didnt call them out. Im starting to realize that players coach much like nice guys seem to finish last. Most Of the guys in the NFL need to be pushed to be better not trusted to just do it on their own. I mean Pete caroll got showed up on national TV and hes a players coach. Jax Jags need a guy that will push this team to be better not some nice guy because that hasnt worked well here for quite some time.

YES, we need a military style coach like Couhglin was. I got sick of Gus' speeches. He would be soft on the players, and use excuses like "they're still young, and learning a lot." I aint got time for that shite. I got off the Gus bus after the 2nd game this year.

Yeah us poor jag fans been waiting for a winner for a while now. Yeah the excuses from gus after every game were almost to much after hearing them for like 3 seasons.I think we have the defense in place. Blake B. is not the QB for the future though. He has no fire , no leadership ability. He just goes out there runs a few players and goes back to the bench. Its like hes a robot he expects the worst and thats what he gets. The Guy looks done to me. I dont believe the wrs believe in him anymore.
