If the man is going to leave probably the best job ever (1 flight a week to watch and talk football) why would he want to deal with the NCAA and all their BS? I mean the eagles have the talent and lack coaching IMO. Could be a nice situation to co e into

Coaches are competitive / Competitors need to compete.

Cant do that in a booth in front of cameras.

I would go college over NFL juct because you get a better quality of life. Less of a grind. For someone like Gruden, money will be about the same.

And NFL HCs have a tough life too. Neither get much sleep except in the offseason.

I just don't see it. He's taking a college job if he's taking a job at all

I honestly think if he can land an NFL gig, he'll do that first. If he can't land an NFL gig, and if he still wants to coach, Tennessee is going to get a long hard look.

Wherever he goes, I don't see it as long term (3 - 5 years). JMHO though...

Incorrect.

College football is a year round gig.

Gruden is a westcoast dude, friends with San Diego Chargers GM AJ Smith... If they pay up, book it.

This makes zero sense, college is more involved if anything.. Recruiting is an entire added job that the nfl doesn't have.

Not to mention in his book he says he doesn't like college as much..

Maybe so, but NFL coaches definitely work harder than their college counterparts.
