If you listen to all the Alabama people on the air they are strongly pushing the narrative of Kiffin to Houston or other HC jobs. They really don't want him at LSU.

Lol no one thinks Kiffin is that good. Especially Bama fans if I had guess. They'll be even better with Sark. But hell, they could pull Joe Schmo from off the street and that machine will keep going. Every coordinator that goes through Bama is elevated while they're there. Just like every OC and quarterback was limited under Miles. Culture matters.
And besides, they know he'll be off to a HC gig next year if he doesn't land one this year.

Paying for assistant coaches hasn't been an issue here. See Aranda, Dave. He left a good Wisconsin program pretty quick once LSU put the big offer in front of him. And we just gave him a handsome raise.
I'm not saying Riley would leave for a raise, but LSU will offer top dollar for coordinators. They have for years. If anything, they will pay more with O as HC.
