1 season, 30 years ago & hasn't coached college since then. I wouldn't exactly call that "ties".

Hey Man if I was unemployed and Les Miles came in and offered me 1.5 mil /year I could swallow my pride and seriously consider it. I doubt that he would stay for more than a year or two, but Miles will be gone by then anyway.

BTW, Nolan lives in Buford, which is about 20 min in good traffic from KLZU.

Would be really painful to squander guys like LF, Dupre, Toliver, Johnson, Harris, Adams, etc.
not to mention that we have the defensive version on LF, Dylan Moses, coming up in 2 years, and Edwin Alexander next year.

we cannot suck.

Or perhaps they met with Bill Clark in ATL? Looks like he's from east Alabama which would be a quick trip over to ATL for an interview...maybe?

Maybe Les thinks stepping foot in Bama is bad JuJu?

Whatever happened to that thread about Greg Schiano? That was fun to read.

Grasping at Straws - Mike Smith?
Les's future and legacy at LSU hinges on the hire he makes. He certainly hasn't showed any desire to improve offensively. The defense has carried the team in 5 of the last 6 seasons. With below average defense during that time span, Les has likely been fired already. If the defense drops off the next few season, Les is fricked. I have no doubt in his ability (or desire) to improve the offense.

Correct...

maybe not bad JuJu but there's some legit diseases you could get in there.

That's inetrdasting... I could see it, but more with the Saints than the Tigers, but it would be following recent trends.

That would be a home run ball for either club.

id really like to go outside at some point instead of clicking refresh on the 10 fricking tabs that i have open, but im pretty confident that the next 5 years of LSU football is either gonna go in one direction or the other based on the next 48 hours

I am right there with you.

I want to stop, but just can't say no.

This may in fact be the ONLY way we can rid ourselves of one Lester Miles. He has to frick himself defensively first. God knows the other solutions such as fielding shitty offenses, losing bowl games, appearing clueless on the field, and embarrassing the University haven't worked.

Think of the possibilities with Mike Smith leading our Defense. He did wonders with the Falcons this year.

He'd be a home run hire as a defensive coordinator honestly.

I'd rather have Mike Nolan, the former DC.

clamdip should get credit for thinking of this first, or the blame if its not smith in which case clamdip can go frick himself, because he's certainly qualified
