If we are throwing crazy things out there,
Suntiger has expressed interest in DC job.

Glanville with a big purple and gold beltbuckle with Purple cowboy boots would be too much.
Get Buddy Ryan instead.

You are correct, I thought it was the opposite.
And to whoever said the game has passed him by don't assume just because he is old and out of the limelight he can't coach D at a high level anymore. Bill Arnsparger had been out of coaching for several years then went70. and led the Chargers D to the Super Bowl at almost age

Elvis was a redneck from MISS. dont you think if he was alive he would have gone public when his daughter married a black, child molesting, weird dressing pop star? He would have been all over 20/20 if he were alive to protest that crap.

I don't know if we need Glanville, but I like his aggressive blitzing style. It could work well with all the talent we have. Don't forget, he has coached on the pro level too.

your right and i think it maybe could work. i just hope we get someone aggressive and not so passive. he could be a good fit. june jones was talking about him yesterday on wwl

Oh jeeze man, that brought back some memories.
I remember going to the first Falcons game in the Dome back in '92. Hammer and his posse was there and had a concert on the field at halftime.

It is just too damn easy to take pot shots IMO. Maria said "Michael was charming and woo'd her convincingly. I saw nothing abnormal about him & he made me fall in love with him." Apparently she/he liked each others "woo woo's".

For those who think Glanville should not be considered are ignorant of his coaching history...
Posted on 12/5/07 at 3:57 pm to Zephyrius
I think he should at least get an interview. The man can coach.

One of my best friends coaches for him at Portland St. He is the LB's coach for Glanville. Even though he speaks highly of Glanville, i don't personally think he is LSU's answer
Posted on 12/5/07 at 4:51 pm to JGTiger
Him being a graduate of Northern Michigan and with family and all still there I assume that is the connection to Miles. I dont know if I like him as our DC but you cant question his defenses throughout the years. That is for sure! I guess I am ok with him at least interviewing. I trust Miles will get a good one.

I met Glanville once - in Richard Petty's pit before a race at Atlanta Motor Speedway - and he is a helluva good guy.
I agree, I don't think he is the answer for LSU, or for any SEC team for that matter.

He'd eventually leave for his dream job head coach of the Detroit Lions. He grew up in the Detroit area and in grade school he wrote a paper in which he stated he wanted to be coach of the Detroit Lions. True story.

I don't see the boots, belt buckle and cowboy hat really fitting in with the Motor City fashion sense, but he may have left all that behind when he went to the islands.
The good thing about Detroit is he could probably pick up cheap parts to support his racing habit.

Glanville rules. He's crazy. He'd be a smash at media events.
