Setting aside all personality traits for both guys, who do you think is the better Coach, Kiffin or Dooley?

ETA: Or who do you think WILL be the better coach?

hard to compare at this point. Lane has a better resume to this point, but I think that Derek comes across as brighter and more polished.

neither one have done shite....Kiffin was a coordinator when he was successful and Dooley has the pedigree....

as far as being good humans..so far, Dooley wins hands down.

well, Lane was an NFL HC and a HC at an SEC school. For those reasons, I believe that his resume is better at this point.

Lane's best bullet point on his resume is that his dad is still active as a coach.

By himself Dooley seems like a better leader and coach but Kiffin has his dad and the recruiting gorilla Orgeron to fall back on

I don't think either has really proven themselves.

...his smokin' wife!!!

considering he has been an NFL and SEC head coach at his age, still, his greatest accomplshment is his wife.

I think Dooley will prove what most LSU fans have come to suspect... that he can excel as a HC in the SEC. And he gets to follow Kiffen!

Three years from now, we all will be in agreement it was Dooley. Derek Dooley will still have a job with UT, Kiffin will be pimping a reality show on MTV.

Kiffins only strength is his hype as some kind of rock star persona and those he surrounds himself with.

I would have said 4-5 years but hey, three may be the number.
