He’s a .500 coach over the last few years.... there’s a reason he got fired. He’s pissed in LSUs Cheerios recruiting current players also...

I'm beginning to believe Dick Bumpas was the mastermind behind TCU's defenses all those years.

Back in 09 he was one of the best coaches around. I was hoping we would can miles snd bring him in I think he’s burned himself out and no longer that caliber of a coach.

Yes I think Patterson could be a great coach at LSU. He would be rejuvenated here, if he really wants to coach anymore.

lol, I made the point the other day that if Kiffin is in consideration then so should be Sumlin and Kingsbury.

I think the game might have passed Patterson by. It moved on without him. And his issues with the "culture" of today's players is fairly well known.

Now that doesn't mean he can't catch back up. But that would mean going to be a coordinator somewhere where he sees a new way of doing things live and from the inside. The only HC I've ever heard of changing something significant in their philosophy without taking a positional step back is Saban. No other HC will change their stripes; they have to do it as a coordinator (or lower).
