They need to go with someone other than a NFL HC retread. Del Rio's not the answer. Gruden would be interesting. Or even a college coach.

Yeah, good point.

Since Gruden has been out of coaching for a little bit, I guess I see him more rejuvenated than as a retread. Del Rio bores me to tears. If I were a Houston fan, I'd like Gruden.

NFL retreads get a bad rap. the three best coaches in the league right now, are all NFL retreads. Actually the best 4.

The Texans have to be a desirable gig for any head coach.

Great running game. Great receivers. Lots of defensive talent.

If they can get a quarterback, they can win immediately.

Agreed. Here are some people that would be intriguing:

Gruden (obviously)
Bill O'Brien (Penile State)
David Shaw (Stanford)

College coaches with NFL experience/NFL systems could be a good transition.

Gruden gets my vote. I would love it.

Glad we finally got rid of Kubiak. Jesus what a shite show. Now bring us a QB.

If they draft manziel with the 1st pick that whole staff would get fired on the spot. There are way to many QB's in the draft this year and they could trade down and manziel would still be available. They will draft Clowney or Matthews with the 1st pick and probably take a QB with the 2nd pick.
