I’m sure phone interviews have already been done and today is just a formality to get to know everyone and make the announcement

i have no crystal ball for the future, but the 2 panther assistants to go along with callaway and a freeman pickup would satisfy me as a fan.

This is kind of what I’m thinking. In these days of zoom meetings I feel like there has to be a shite ton of mutual interest for someone to fly down to Baton Rouge and meet in person.

I’d make sure that Freeman and Stingley Sr and JR meet with Freeman when he arrives for the interview. Sr could definitely make the sale that Freeman’s a perfect fit for LSU.

He didnt say there names specifically he just said targets when they are coming for example

Are we giving Brady to much credit for 1 year? He had a generational qb and now it appears he is consulting on who to hire as if his blessings will get us another last year.

I get what you are saying but it sounds like Peetz is pretty well thought of around the league by more than Brady since Josh McDaniels wanted to hire him previously, and there is a good amount of chatter that he would be the Panthers OC if Brady left.

The Stingley’s must have hated Aranda. That guy had no energy.
And as for Coach O putting out in public his #1 targets, he didn’t say a name, but he said exactly what day he was interviewing his #1 OC as well as #1 DC target. I’ve never seen a coach do that before. Not a good negotiating tactic. Not a good look if you whiff and have to beg your #2 or #3 to join up.

looks like we'll be competing against notre dame and/or auburn and/or texas for freeman. which is how it should be. we want a coordinator everyone would want to have.

I don't think we are just taking whatever random name he gives us. He has recommended someone, then it's up to LSU to do its due diligence.

I’m hearing the opposite.
I’m being told that he wants a HC job but the only jobs left that are worth a damn are Marshall and Boise.
They have been talking and apparently buyouts have been discussed. If he’s on a plane and coming here Thursday id say it’s done

Done deal seems likely, O sure seemed positive, he talked about how much Joe Burrow is helping recruiting wise for LSU, not just players was how I took his meaning.
