You know what I like about this... If Wilson comes in and coaches both RB's and WR's, that frees up a Coaching slot... which might be filled with a QB coach.

Basically this ensures that you are at least keeping the OC too.

Not in the least. Miles is losing his top recruiter, he needs someone in place asap. The OC really has little say in position coach hires anyway. Each position gets filled separately.

I'd rather the new WR coach, coach both WR's and TE'S. Eliminate the TE coach position and then hire a dedicated QB coach..........

Was this the guy that convinced Jackson to go to Tenn last year/knew his father instead of LSU? Doesn't really matter to me one way or the other but I was just curious.

Well if he lured Jackson to UT he is leaving him there.

at this point, yano is really all we've got left on the recruiting front with porter and mccarthy out. we went from 3 aces to 1. at least we kept the best one.

Yano was in Virginia, Miami and Dallas all in the same day earlier this week. Anyone else would have to be hopped up on No Doze and Cigerettes, but for Yano it's just a your typical Tuesday.

I was under the impression that was all one morning. Then he came back, fired Crowton, hired Frank Wilson and coached our first bowl practice.

Hard to ignore the other note on FootballScoop about the other UT assistant getting attention from FL State.

So, can Yano coach both TE's and Wr's? Then we can still get a QB coach...
