Coach Aranda is a solid candidate as well as Coach Napier. Just because former and current players want him doesn't mean he meets criteria for this hire. Coach Napier is not a Spurrier, yet. He very well may prove to be a great success at a great school. He knows how to win and the right way. Think both Coach Aranda and Coach Napier are men of principle from what I've read. We have no choice but to let the process play itself out. Cupboard will be well stocked and hopefully will stay that way. Coach Archer couldn't keep it stocked from Coach Arnsparger's departing.

Aranda would be a great choice. But you don’t hire him on the word of former or present players. And Scott would not do that.
The players wanted Orgeron and Alleva said that was a big reason he hired him. Fortunately, Aranda is a great hire in and of himself.

I do too. I'm all aboard the Aranda train. A no nonsense coach that I believe will do well at LSU.

Breaking news: former defensive players who played on Aranda's defense and won a national title under him want him to get the HC job more than the guy they never played for
