Nah, Alleva makes the decision.
$$$ has influence, but that's it... They don't get to make the hire, Alleva and Alleva alone has that power.

Jimbo won his championship due to Winston...it def wasn't his coaching abilities!!! Jimbo = Les Miles II

Yep, because miles is known for his qb development and offensive acumen.

We've been crying for a guy that can develop a qb for YEARS. When the time comes to replace a national championship winning coach and a loaded roster, many of our fans want a fricking DL coach because he's from here. Oh Louisiana.

You don't pay a near $10M buyout to hire Mike Sherman.

Prevailing opinion when Franchione "resigned".

LSU firing Miles after 4 games was not a move to see if Ed Orgeron could "audition" for the job. You're foolish if you think that is the case. They fired Miles after those 4 games because they knew they could get their "upgrade" type coach. I'm pretty sure its Jimbo, but Herman is in the mix. You don't pay a near $10M buyout to hire Ed Orgeron

You are correct, but just like recruiting things are fluid and can change in a heartbeat. Until the ink drys and the announcement is made nothing is written in stone! I personally think they had Fisher but shite happened in his camp and now they are asking too much and LSU has drawn a line in the sand and they ain't crossing it.
