Keep your panties on. Just because I have evaluated him as a average coach does not mean he isn’t the man that Woody hires. There is still a chance you get your girl sugar. I think we can do better. That’s my option, which is pretty worthless, but probably not as worthless as yours.

I think Fickell is as solid as it gets and checks the most of the boxes of the "plausibly available". Some obvious holes there, but less than most. The biggest box checked is the "build a program" and "do the most with what you have" box. The "program culture box" is also a big one.
However, AT BEST, Fickell probably would have said contact me in January, I'm busy.
That wouldn't stop his agent however- one J. Sexton.
Two real notes I'll state for what appears to be a non-serious thread regarding Fickell:
1. Sexton seems to have been floating false rumors to trial balloon NFL interest in his client. The NFL is where Sexton is pushing him.
2. It's highly likely he will lose both his coordinators after this year, which if he is going to make a move it's after this season. But note #1 above.
However, AT BEST, Fickell probably would have said contact me in January, I'm busy.

Riley is without question a great developer if young QBs. Kids know this and he will get who hw wants. That and his record at OU is why I have him close to the top. Fickell is the sexy pick for everyone this season. I just do not see it. Not worth the money we would have to pull him out of his Cush job in one of the worst conferences in America. He would rather wait out the OSU job at a place he can win 10 games a year and keep people singing his praises. I don’t buy the hype.

Well you said it was the “close” Tulane game. OU has much better talent and damn near lost to Tulane.

Cincinnati is over ranked based on ND being over ranked. They will get destroyed in playoffs. shite schedule in a shite conference.makes me miss the BCS, they have no SOS.

I could use that Same logic to say Napier couldn’t get his team to play hard against nicholls st, or Arkansas st, or Georgia southern. Aranda couldn’t get them to play hard against Texas st. Fickell is as viable as either of these two.
