This needs to happen
Richt seems like a great guy but that program has criminally underachieved. With as many recruits as the state of GA produces theres no reason they're not annually in the GA Dome the 1st weekend of Decemeber EVERY YEAR
Thats just an opinion of an outsider though so idk about the additional problems/issues that prevent that

I'd be curious to hear why you think UGA is a better job than USCw.
Depends on what matters to you as a coach. For me personally, I'd rank UGA higher because:
1) They'll likely pay better
2) lower cost of living means I'll see more of my money
3) UGA is the more stable program as USC will be on it's 4th coach in last 6 years.
4) UGA is in the SEC which means more money for the program, more exposure, and they are in the EAST which is the easier division
5) USCw expects the next guy to get them back to where they've been recently. UGA expects the next guy to get them to where they've not been in a long time. Success at UGA means you can stay there for a long time. Moderate success at USCw means you may be packing.
6) UGA is a sleeping giant and the right guy can make himself a legend there.

The right guy at USCw will lock that state down
To an extent, but same could be said for UGA.

Also, Athens is one of the best college towns in the country. Atlanta, with its plethora of elite talent, is only 1-1 1/2 hours away.

Other jobs may come open to change that, but UGA is better than VT, Miami, USC, USCe, UCF, etc.

Hearing that #UGA power brokers & big dogs now asking questions/talking about potentially moving on--unlike ever before in Mark Richt era.

Georgia fans aren't as rabid a fan base. Richt will be gone when he decides to leave himself. Zero chance he gets fired, IMO.

Fans don't have shite to do with it.

Florida and LSU are not on Alabama's level. The way you people keep equating them together is boggling.
And why not?

If UGA does come open, it's the best available job in the country and that includes USCw (and, obviously, USCe).
Other jobs may come open to change that, but UGA is better than VT, Miami, USC, USCe, UCF, etc.
In the current condition, maybe.......it's tough to say that UGA is better than USCw though...........it's not a big difference, but enough.......

And why not?
# of overall nattys
# of SEC Championships (Bama has 24, which is more than LSU's 11 and Florida's 9 combined)
Bama has more CFB HOFers than LSU and Florida combined
Bama has more NFL HOFers than either LSU of Florida
Bama is more consistent than LSU or Florida
I don't think the poster was saying LSU and Florida aren't on Alabama's level this year. I think he was saying all time, which is crazy to argue otherwise.

Whatever it may be, Georgia is a joke compared to Bama, Florida, or LSU. The latter programs (although Bama has a big edge) are significantly better than Georgia for sure.

I think UGA could be on par with LSu and Florida if they could somehow better lock down the top talent in metro Atlanta, recruit florida well, and gain any momentum on the field. UGA could be a beast. Could be.

Great insight. I can see that degree from University of Phoenix is really paying off for you.

You are so asshurt it's hilarious. I am guessing a UGA grad fricked your wife in the arse (somewhere she never let you go near) and then billed you for it?

For the last 10 years, these programs competed at a higher level, but to suggest that UGA is an inferior program or a worse job is short sighted. UGA has the recruits, recruiting grounds, no in state rivals, and facilities etc to compete for national championships year in and year out. Richt was great coach 01-07, but has staled. Its a coaching issue, not a program issue.
No program is immune to a down run or bad hires. Zook/Muschamp/pre Spurrier, LSU for years before Saban got to campus, Shoula/Dubose. Those programs were not near at the level as they are now, but they made the right hires and the admins supported the programs.
Also, no program is 100% capable of "locking down a state". You recruit the guys you want in your footprint hard, and more times than not you get them, but no coach can "lock down" Georgia or Florida or Texas for that matter. Too many D1 athletes

I did frick his wife and mom at the same time and then whipped his arse while they made me lunch. He is a fat bastard with a goatee and a fake MNC ring. His trailer is only single wide and he has a Gremlin 76 on blocks. He is a TPOS and I look forward to kicking his arse again.

They fire Richt and in pure UGA fashion hire Steve Addazio

Expect this job to open. A ton of chatter this morning coming from the UGA websites.
