he just really wants a piece of beamer every year..
he tried to set up a home/home series almost every year when tech was really clicking.. beamer always said no.
a bunch of rich guys even offered each school $$$$ to play at bristol raceway.. would have been a hell of a game

Actually, this didn't happen. The coaches wanted to play in Bristol Motor Speedway, but the AD's didn't want to give up a home game.

I would love to see UVA get a proven coach like Fulmer or Tubberville, but can they recruit kids to UVA? The University is pretty stringent on academic standards for their athletes.
Ahmad Brooks back in high school passed the SAT through the clearinghouse (Just over 800, albeit on his 3rd try) but UVA made him go to Hargrave none the less. I think he had already signed his NLI and really wanted to go to UVA anyways. But still, Parade's player of the year and they wouldn't cut him slack.

that is when they had some pretty good talent.. and if you look at their recruting classes they have been pretty darn good for the most part..
the 'hoos need a offensive minded coach to get them back on track imho
