The Psychological State of a Rantknocker Virgin Geek? He doesn't have a girlfriend, does not have a p/t job after school, doesn't play football and has no life outside of trying to be noticed on here.

I think some of that is true but some guys actually know people and hear stuff that’s not true or that is true

The most bizarre aspect is that the posts are effectively anonymous. So, at best, you generate some fleeting attention and renown for an alias, not even your real name.

Message boards get a lot of socially insecure people, many of which are emotionally immature so they’re strongly motivated to be relevant or gain credibility amongst their internet peers.

If they can break news on a message board, it can get them some credibility at least for a little while.
